'The Sal'

Known by the locals as 'The Sal' we are a fine old English Inn serving traditional beers, excellent food and offering comfortable accommodation with en-suite facilities.

Restaurant

Equipped to seat up to fifty diners, we love catering for individuals and groups alike.

Please ask us about any special occasion you may be planning and we'll help in every way possible.

Have a look at our 'Menus' page to see the wide range of World foods we offer, including many classic British dishes, of course.

Accommodation

Three beautifully appointed, en-suite, rooms (2 x double; 1 x twin) available with the master room having a separate sitting-room as illustrated above. The rooms are very popular so please plan well ahead if you wish to make a reservation.

An ideal spot to make your base for exploring the Welsh Marches and enjoying the first class hiking afforded in the area.

Real Ales

Our bar is well stocked with all the usual (and some unusual) drinks and we try to support local breweries with a fine selection of real ales.

Herefordshire is home to some of the finest micro-breweries in the country and also to the renowned, prize-winning Dunkertons Perry.

Interesting places

There are many fascinating places to visit on both sides of the border from Hereford Cathedral, which houses "The Mappa Mundi", the famous largest medieval map known to exist, to Abbey Dore Court; a beautiful 18th Century Coaching Inn which has a Victorian Wing attached, situated within the renowned eight acre Abbey Dore Court Gardens.

Micro Breweries

Weobley now has it's own brewery located opposite 'The Sal', making a range of beers including Mr Magpie's Bitter and Goldfinger Golden Ale.

We also frequently have on tap beers from The Swan Brewery based in Leominster. A true 'microbrewery' producing only 10 barrels in each batch.
